I am here to listen, understand, and support children, adolescents, and adults facing speech and language difficulties.
Hello, I’m Ioanna Panteli, a Speech and Language Therapist specializing in Special Education and Guidance, mainly in Neurodevelopmental and Sensory Disorders. With more than 7 years of experience in the field, I have had the privilege of working with children, adolescents, and adults, providing speech therapy services tailored to each individual’s needs. Throughout my professional journey, I have worked with individuals facing chronic illnesses, disabilities, and even cancer, while also supporting pregnant women and new mothers in strengthening communication with their children.
I feel especially connected to families with children experiencing challenges such as ASD, ADHD, or learning difficulties. With every child or adult I work with, my goal is to create a safe and supportive environment where we can better understand and develop communication abilities while enhancing self-confidence, social inclusion, and overall quality of life. My mission is to strengthen communication skills and improve each person’s functionality in everyday life. The purpose of the therapeutic process is to help every individual discover the power of expressing themselves and communicating with comfort and confidence. This ultimately leads to improved self-esteem and greater socialization.
My approach to speech therapy is individualized and focused on understanding the unique needs of each person. I create a safe and supportive environment, using modern speech therapy and special education methods. I work with children, adolescents, and adults, helping them overcome language and communication difficulties while strengthening self-esteem and social inclusion. For families with children facing developmental challenges (e.g., ASD, ADHD), I provide specialized support aimed at developing communication skills and emotional well-being.

Speech and language disorders in children with ASD: I often work with parents whose children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) face communication difficulties. Our work focuses on strengthening basic communication skills and integrating strategies for social interaction and language comprehension.
Delayed speech development: Parents contact me to support children who experience delays in speech development. These children may not use words or phrases at the expected developmental age. We work through various activities to strengthen auditory and syntactic skills, helping the child communicate more effectively.
Developmental Delay in Language and Speech: Some children or adults with developmental delays require support to strengthen their communication abilities. Here, we use techniques that enhance language comprehension, with emphasis on speech and auditory perception skills.
Language and Communication Issues in Adults: Adults who have experienced brain injuries or illnesses affecting their ability to communicate seek my support in restoring their ability to express themselves. For example, an adult who has experienced a stroke and faces speech and comprehension difficulties may use specialized strategies to regain communication abilities.
Learning Difficulties: Parents often contact me when children present learning difficulties such as dyslexia or delayed speech development. In these cases, support focuses on developing strategies to improve academic performance and strengthen the child’s self-esteem. Children and adolescents with dyslexia often come to me for help in developing strategies for better word recognition and improving written language skills. A child who struggles to read words quickly and accurately may benefit from interactive games and exercises that strengthen word recognition and literacy skills.
